Thyroid Nodules are solid or fluid-filled lumps that form within the body's thyroid. The thyroid is a small gland in the middle of the neck.
Symptoms of thyroid nodules are not considered very severe. Because of this, the risk of getting thyroid cancer is only one percent.
Often, people do not know the thyroid nodule until the doctor examines it. Some thyroid nodules, however, may be large enough to be visible or difficult to breathe.
