Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells divide uncontrollably and destroy normal body tissue. At the same time, lobular breast cancer is also called invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). It occurs in the lobes or lobules of the breast. Lobules perform the function of milk production in the breast. Lobular breast cancer is the second most common type of breast cancer.
Invasive lobular carcinoma (lobular) occurs in about 10 percent of women. Women with breast cancer have a problem with the milk duct, called invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC).
Lobular breast cancercan occur at any age, but women who are 60 or older are at a higher risk. According to research, its risk increases after the end of periods (menopause).
There are two types of lobular breast cancer
- Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC)
- Lobular Neoplegia (LCIS)
