Lassa fever is caused by a virus called Lassa which occurs through mice. Its serious cases can be fatal at times. The gluten virus is usually transmitted to humans by contact with contaminated food or household items from the urine or feces of infected mastomis mice. It is a hemorrhagic virus, which means that it can cause bleeding in humans. However, 8 out of 10 people infected with the virus do not show any symptoms.
