Common symptoms of hemorrhoids are:
Bleeding while passing stool
Itching and burning in the anal region
Pain and discomfort during stool pass (bowel movement)
Swelling around the anus
A sensitive or painful lump near the anus (Proctalgia may also be a cause of pain near the anus)
Most pain is due to external hemorrhoids. There is usually no pain due to internal piles.
