Symptoms of filarial or elephantine feet do not usually appear initially. The symptoms of its parasite entering the body may appear after about seven to eight years, due to which the following symptoms may appear, including:
Sudden swelling of feet, hands and other parts of the body of a normal and healthy person
Changing or reddening of the skin of the affected organs
Pain with swelling in affected limbs
A person with such symptoms has fever
These swelling can occur in the hands and feet as well as in the testicles.
Initially, these swelling may be temporary, but after some time they may become permanent, which is not possible to treat.
Keep in mind that elephant-foot problems may not be hereditary. If a woman or man is suffering from this disease, then it may not affect the fetus or the child.
