There are mainly six types of thyroid, which are as follows.
Hypo thyroid: When the thyroid gland does not produce hormones in small amounts as needed.
Hyper thyroid: When the thyroid gland produces excess hormones.
Thyroiditis: When the thyroid gland becomes inflamed and the body's immune system produces antibodies, affecting the thyroid gland.
Goiter: It occurs due to lack of iodine in the food, which causes swelling and lump-like appearance in the throat. Its victims are mostly women. Therefore, symptoms of thyroid disease are more visible in women.
Thyroid nodule: There is swelling in one part of thyroid gland. This swelling may be severe or filled with any fluid.
Thyroid Cancer: When the cells present in the thyroid gland begin to form cancer cells.
