Hole in the heart is simple congenital defects or diseases or problems within the structure of the heart. These defects may present at the time of birth. Due to these defects there is a change in normal blood flow in heart. In the heart, inner wall called the septum separates the heart from two sides. The right side of heart receives oxygen-poor blood from body and pumps to the lungs. left side of heart receives oxygen rich blood from lungs pumps to rest of the body. The main use of septum is to prevent the mix of blood between two sides of the heart. But, by birth some babies have holes in the upper or lower septum.
